the braves have had a reasonable start to the season after defeating coota in there first match the braves lined up against the grasshoppers at brave park for the first time this yr.reserves played there first game of the season and supprissed everyone with how well they played unfortunately going down 2-0 to a tough opponent.first grade got off to a terrible start with maz missin a penalty in the first 5 minutes!
the braves had one scored against them shortly after and had it all to do,the braves fought hard and everyone played well in just there 2nd game. maz finaly redeemed himself slotting one through benos legs(maybe offside) off a perfectly placed adam blaka cross. the score ending 1-1
the braves seen themselves at braves park for the 2nd wk in a row against the genorous team of the bega devils.
reserves improved on there last match andwere unluky to loose against half a team of first graders bega scored one early and when barney missed a penalty it was all to late goin down 1-0.
first grade was set to be a battle with a few hurt egos in the devils team after there ill mannered attitudes saw the braves gain there 3 best players in the off season.
the game started off slow but the braves had plenty of chances with strikers maz and adam not hitting the mark.
the devils went ahead early in the 2nd half with a run away goal to the coaches love child.
bemboka soon hit back with a flying dan blaka using his nose to push one into the net and even things up,the braves were unluky not to take all the points after dominating an understreangthed team for 80% of the match.
the braves are at home again this wk v coota in 1st grade and res have the bye.
